LEADERSHIP
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HEATHER SCHNEIDER
Heather was born and raised in Kansas but has called Adair home since 2011. She is married to Kahl, and together they have four children: Quynton, Paxton, Treyton, and Brexton, all of whom were Boys & Girls Club kids growing up.
Heather began her journey with the Boys & Girls Club in 2013 and has served as Executive Director since 2020. In 2026, she helped lead the expansion of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Southwest Iowa into Greenfield, bringing high-quality after-school and summer programming to local youth and families.
Heather is passionate about her community and the well-being of local youth. She is especially excited to help build the new Greenfield Club into a welcoming, supportive space where children can learn, grow, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to be successful. Heather takes great pride in providing safe spaces, top-tier programming, and dedicated staff to youth across five counties in Iowa.
In her free time, Heather enjoys supporting her children in their activities, attending community events, and spending time camping with her family and friends.
GREENFIELD PROGRAM DIRECTOR, KORTNEY THOMPSON
Hi everyone! My name is Kortney Thompson, and I am beyond excited to introduce myself as the new Program Director for the Greenfield Boys & Girls Club!
This community means so much to me—I was born and raised in Fontanelle and have been proud to call Greenfield home since 2014. Working with youth has been a central part of my life for years. There is nothing more rewarding to me than creating spaces where kids feel confident, cared for, and inspired to learn.
I am so grateful for the warm welcome into the Boys & Girls Club family, and I can't wait to deliver a vibrant, safe, and engaging program that our kids will look forward to coming to every single day.
When I step away from work, you can usually find me working on my latest craft project, trying out new baking recipes, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying quality time with my loved ones.
I am so excited to dive into this community, get to know each of our families, and work together to make this an extraordinary year full of learning, laughter, and great memories!
